One thing about my timing for this surgery – I will get to enjoy something besides awful daytime TV while laying around recovering (I’m doing a lot of laying around, can’t you tell?). The Winter Olympics are on! Always love watching the Olympics.
Malcolm is old enough this year to understand them, and appreciate a bit about all the different countries, so we let him stay up to watch some of the Opening Ceremony. He made it about 1/2 of the way through the Parade of Countries before deciding he was tired enough to call it a night.
It was fun to introduce him to the Games – and he was very interested in all the countries.
